The best site to find out reviews of hotels and prices is www.tripadvisor.co.uk This site will get prices from other booking agents and display the best prices for you. Note it is sometimes cheaper to use the hotels own site and on occasion phoning them for a price may help. Things to remember

• Companies buy up blocks of rooms and then sell them on.
• Contacting the hotel direct may get you a "we're full" response when in fact many sites have rooms free in that hotel.
• The reverse is also true when all sites say fully booked but phoning direct gets you a room.
• The closer to the accommodation date the cheaper it can be.
• Booking a weekend break can get good prices and a 3 day weekend booking may be better than 2.
• reviews of hotels on tripadvisor can sometimes see very very positive reviews from people who have only ever reviewed that hotel. Tripadvisor does not book hotels directly - it only has comments from people. Double check the reviews on actual booking sites as sometimes the hotel owners can put in false reviews on tripadvisor.
• use google maps for the area you want to stay in then type "hotel" in search bar. You will get a list of hotels and reviews from all sites ( booking and tripadvisor)
